La korerima, una de las varias especias de la familia del jengibre llamada cardamomo negro, crece de forma silvestre en todo el este de África. Cultivada extensamente en Etiopía, donde se utiliza en muchas mezclas de especias fundamentales, la korerima es similar al cardamomo verde, pero con un sabor más profundo y notas ahumadas.
