Directions

1. Put the eggs, half and half, sugar, vanilla, Pumpkin Spice, and salt into a large bowl and whisk to combine. Dunk the bread into this mixture and turn to coat; let sit for 1 minute. (If the slices are not fully submerged, turn them over and let them sit in the mixture for another minute.) Transfer the slices to a sheet pan.

2. Set a sheet pan with a cooling rack in it next to the stove.
3. Set a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of butter to the pan and tip the pan (to coat the bottom) as the butter melts.
4. Add the soaked bread to the pan. Add more butter to the pan as needed or when the pan looks dry. Cook until golden brown on both sides, flipping once.

5. Serve warm with maple syrup alongside.
