Ferla Spice Dipping Oil
Use sheep’s milk pecorino and a peppery olive oil for irresistible results.
1 teaspoon Ferla Spice
1/4 cup finely grated pecorino cheese
Zest from 1/2 a lemon
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
Put all the ingredients into a small bowl and mix with a fork. Serve with rustic bread.
The recipe makes enough for four people, but can easily be doubled or tripled.
This flavorful oil is also terrific used as a finishing drizzle for grilled fish or vegetables or as the base for a vinaigrette (just add extra vinegar or lemon juice).
