Celery Salt Ranch Dressing
Makes about 1 cup.
Our Caitlin’s Celery Salt has a cult following and adds a particularly dynamic flavor profile and depth to otherwise light, bright flavors. Super simple to make, this creamy dressing is perfect for a spring green salad made with tender lettuce, baby vegetables, and herbs. Later in the season, try drizzling it on a plate of sliced heirloom tomatoes or grilled Romaine or radicchio. The touch of sugar, although optional, harmonizes the brash lime juice with the other ingredients.
1½ cups sour cream or full-fat Greek yogurt
¼ cup neutral oil
3 tablespoons buttermilk
¼ teaspoon grated garlic (from a small clove)
Zest of one medium-size lime
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
1 teaspoon Caitlin’s Celery Salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
½ teaspoon sugar, optional
Put all the ingredients, including the sugar if using, into a small bowl. Whisk until smooth and combined. Taste and add more lime juice if needed.
