This crowd-pleasing breakfast is mostly made ahead, which makes for stress-free holiday mornings. And, it’s not just for holidays — it’s always a good breakfast option!
Coat a 9”x13” baking dish with butter or baking spray. Place the cubed bread and apples in the baking dish and use your hands to toss them together.
Crack the eggs into a large mixing bowl and whisk them until smooth. Add the milk, brown sugar, and salt, along with 2 tablespoons of the Molasses Cookie Sugar, and whisk until completely combined.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture, being sure to saturate every piece of bread. Cover and let sit for at least 4 hours or overnight (in the fridge).
When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350°F. Sprinkle the remaining 2 tablespoons of Molasses Cookie Sugar over the top and bake until it is slightly crispy and baked through in the middle, 50-60 minutes.
Serve warm with maple syrup.
