Kalbi ~ Korean BBQ Beef Short Ribs

Kalbi ~ Korean BBQ Beef Short Ribs

Korea is famous for richly seasoned, chile-spiked, barbecued meats. Our Korean BBQ captures those flavors in a dry rub, making it simple to get delicious results at home, whether you’re cooking meat, chicken, fish, or vegetables.

Instead of a recipe, use the method below and follow this ratio for making kalbi or beef short ribs: 1 ounce or ¼ cup of Korean BBQ to 1 pound of cross-cut short ribs (¼ - to ½-inch thick).

Rub the blend onto the ribs, coating all sides. Marinate overnight in a covered container in the fridge. Take the ribs out of the fridge about half an hour before you plan to grill them.

Quickly grill on high heat until the ribs are lightly charred on each side. (Don’t over-cook or the meat will be tough).

Serve over steamed rice with scallions sprinkled over top. Offer romaine leaves, kimchi, and sliced cucumber alongside for your eaters to make their own tasty bundles of rice and meat!
