Flower Crown ~ Elderflower Sangria Mocktail
Makes 1 mocktail with enough extra syrup to make 4-5 more.
Indulge in this fancy sparkler that feels grown up but isn’t 21+. Use our Elderflower Sangria Spices to make an elegant drink that you’ll want to serve all season.
For the spice syrup:
1¼ cups sugar
1 pouch Elderflower Sangria Spices
For the Flower Crown (1 serving):
3 tablespoons spice syrup
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (from half a lemon)
1 can (12 ounces) plain seltzer
2 Moroccan rose buds (optional)
Make the spice syrup Put the sugar into a small saucepan set over medium-high heat and add 1¼ cups water. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved, then add the pouch contents, stir, and continue simmering for 5 minutes. Pour through a fine-mesh strainer into a clean container, discard the spice solids,and allow the syrup to cool to room temperature.
Make the drink Put the syrup and lemon juice into a tall glass and stir to mix. Fill the glass with ice and top with seltzer and the rose buds. Serve with a reuseable straw!
