Fleur Syrup for Drinks & Desserts
Makes about 1½ cup.
This Fleur Spice infused simple syrup with a sweet-tart flavor and floral aroma is a terrific addition to your drinks repertoire. Use it to make cocktails, iced tea, or pink lemonade. It’s also great drizzled over fruit, crepes, or yogurt.
1 cup organic granulated sugar
2 tablespoons Fleur Spice
1 tablespoon rose water
Put the sugar and Fleur Spice into a heavy saucepan and add ½ cup water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring gently to dissolve the sugar. Boil for 1 minute, remove the pan from the heat, and stir in the rose water. Let the syrup infuse until it has cooled to room temperature, about 20 minutes.
Strain into a clean jar or bottle through a fine mesh sieve.
