This extremely rare pepper is native to Central and South America and is not often found outside the region. We're thrilled to be one of the only US importers of this pepper direct from Colombia! The long, skinny fruits boast the familiar fruity, black pepper notes, while also expressing citrusy, herbal and menthol notes adding a nuanced flavor to your dishes. Look closely and you'll see that the 4" long fruits are made up of tiny seeds that are essentially tiny peppercorns! They grow on a shrub-like tree, unlike other species in this family that grow on a vine.
