In response to the devastating 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Colombia, we’re donating a portion of sales from our Colombian-origin products, including Annatto, Pipilongo Peppercorn, Zenú Spice, and Verano Lemon Pepper, to relief efforts through World Central Kitchen where they are organizing support for disaster relief around the world.
Colombia is an especially important part of the Curio community. We have longstanding relationships with farmers there and have recently begun working with a new packing partner in the country. Our primary supplier is a woman-owned spice company in Cali. While her family is safe, some of her friends have lost their homes. Our direct contacts and farming partners are safe as well, but we know that many others have been deeply affected.
Your support alongside ours is instrumental in helping bring relief to these communities as they assess damage and make plans to rebuild. Alongside our contribution, you can choose a sum to donate directly to World Central Kitchen’s relief efforts here.
We also invite you to learn more about the people and places behind our Colombian spices in our Curio Origins documentary featuring Colombia.
