Magic Salt Margarita

Makes 1 cocktail.

A refreshing take on a classic margarita with a hint of cardamom in the cocktail and a salty-sweet, chile-flecked rim.

For the rim:
1 tablespoon Magic Salt
2 teaspoons sugar
Zest from half a lime

For the cocktail:
1½ ounces tequila
1½ ounces fresh lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup
5 drops King Floyd’s cardamom bitters

Mix the rim ingredients together on a rimmed saucer or in a flat-bottomed bowl. Fill another bowl with about a half-inch of water. Dip the rim of a cocktail glass into the water, then dip in the salt mix. Fill the glass with ice.

In a cocktail shaker, combine cocktail ingredients over ice and shake. Strain into the prepared cocktail glass.
