Curio's Michelada

Makes 4–6 cocktails.

Can't decide between a beer and cocktail? A Michelada is the answer! Lager meets Bloody Mary to makes a perfect summer drink. Our Magic Salt makes an extra-festive rim.

For the cocktail mix:
2 cups tomato passata 
1 tablespoon Chili Today!
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Hot sauce (such as Tabasco), to taste

To finish the cocktail:
1–2 bottles lager beer, such as Dos Equis®

For the rim:
½ lemon
2 tablespoons Magic Salt

Garnish:
Leafy celery or lovage stalks

Stir the cocktail mix ingredients together in a jar or pitcher. Chill until ready to use. 

Put the Magic Salt in a saucer or shallow bowl. Wipe the rims of 4 collins glasses or pint jars with the cut side of the lemon, then dip the rims into the Magic Salt. Put a few ice cubes into the glasses and set them aside.

In a pitcher, combine Michelada mix with 2 cups cold water and stir to combine. Fill each glass halfway with diluted Michelada mix and top up with lager. Put a celery stalk in each glass and use it to give the drink a gentle stir.
